PNG off the beaten track expert required

Hi can anyone reccomend places to stay in Daru and the Goilala region?

I'm looking for budget accomodation and any advice of travelling to these areas.

I can help you with the Goilala area - well Woitape anyway. I have stayed at Woitape Lodge and is is really nice. A real old style logde. Very clean inside, hot water and helpful hosts. Nice cosy bed. It is set in lovely gardens. I used it as a staging post to climb Mt Albert - Edward in June this year.

It is not really 'budget' accomodation though as I think it was around K200 plus per night, but there is no where else to stay in Woitape. You could do great day walks from the Lodge or travel on to places like Tapini (west) or Ononge (east).
