| travelshrink11:26 UTC28 May 2007 | We are traveling to PNG in July and are planning to visit New Ireland, New Britain, the Trobriand Islands, and the Sepik River area.
We had wanted to also visit Tari to see the Huli wigmen and the countryside but I am having trouble fitting it in because of airline schedules. So my question is- will we be seeing enough of the variety and people of PNG if we skip Tari and stay a few extra days in the Kavieng area of New Ireland relaxing?
We will be in PNG for 4 weeks with about 6 days in each of the 4 places above plus travel time.
Also, if you have any recommendations for any of the 4 areas we're visiting, especially in the islands, we'd love to hear them.
Thanks.

If you can squeeze the Highlands in, do - even a few days around Hagen or Goroka would be interesting.
If you really have to skip something, make it one of the three islands you are planning to visit, as they are more similar to each other.
