Hi, Alix. Welcome to Thorn Tree You will probably get the best answers to your questions on our Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea forum, which is where you will find the people who know that area. I have taken the liberty of moving your post to that forum. Yersinia, Thorn Tree Moderator | 1
Hi Alixrachman, Unfortunately there aren't many good roads in Papua New Guinea, and certainly none that stretch between Vanimo and Port Moresby. It would also take a very long time. Your best option is to get a flight to Port Moresby is to fly, which takes a little over 3 hours. You can fly with Air Niugini. You can also reach Madang by flying too. There are no ferries between Vanimo and Madang as far as I know. Although they don't fly directly to Vanimo, you can also get a connection with Airlines PNG. I hope that helps! | 2
no you cannot drive from vanimo to moresby - give up on this idea you cannot even drive to wewak but need to take a boat to aitape -this is a small boat and it will not take a car from wewak you cannot drive to madang as the sepik and ramu rivers are in the way - you can get a ferry which would take a car but these are commercial trade not passenger services from madang you can drive to lae, goroka, mount hagen but you cannot cross the highlands to the south coast and port moresby by car from lae you can again get a commercial trading boat to take a car to port moresby if you really wanted to | 3
