Port Moresby Budget Accommodation

I'm trying to book some cheap accommodation in Moresby, but Mapang Missionary Home doesn't look at commercial (non-missionary) requests unless they're within 7 days of the date requested, so I need a backup plan.

Does anyone know if there's an e-mail address for the Jessie Wyatt House (run by the Country Women's Association, it seems)? There's just a phone number in the LP.

Also, are there any other good budget (or maybe midrange) options beyond those listed in the LP. The guidebook only has 3 budget places mentioned, so hopefully there are some more beyond that.

Last year I stayed at Ela Beach Lodge - which is interesting.

I think I paid about 150 kina a night.

Hi,

when I was in Moresby in '08 I stayed in the Comfort Inn in Boroko (formerly Amber's I think). Not super near the airport or the city center but close to Boroko Market which is worth a stroll (leave your valubles in the room). In a safe compound, has a swimming pool. Some rooms have cable TV and Aircon, others just fans. Does dinner for 30kina.
The cost: 170kina for two people per night in a twin share which we though was pretty good looking at the other hotels, we were about to stay in a brothel in 6mile by mistake until the day before we left!
The number is 3255091, or at least it was!
Oh and free tansfers from the airport too.
