Sepik River Trip

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

We have recently returned from a trip to PNG, part of which included a guided three day dug out canoe trip to the Chambri Lakes and Blackwater Lake. We flew to Wewak, took a bus to Pagwi where the Sepik meets the road and finished at Karawari Lodge on the Karawari River, staying at local village guest houses along the way. It was a great introduction to the area, and the people. If anyone would like details of the guide we used, who was excellent then please ask. Communication is difficult in this area and Sebe doesn't have a website but does have email which he is able to access regularly.

Hi,

I tried to send you a personal message, but it didn't work.

I will visit the Sepik River in March and I will travel alone.

How much was the 3 day tour? Do you have an idea how much it is when you travel alone?
What time did the bus leave from Wewak?
Could you send me the contact details of your guide? How did you meet him?

My E-Mail address: cl.03 (at) gmx.de

THANKS A LOT!!

Best regards,
Markus
