Single Woman Coastal PNG

I have a friend who is a young and attractive blonde/blue eyed person who is planning to do some development work in coastal (not highland) PNG shortly. Her boss is worried about sending her by herself and is considering not letting her go. Is her boss justified in this?

If she really wants to go and is a reasonably experienced, sober-minded person she should probably be allowed to make her own decisions.
I personally knew a young, attractive, blonde woman who used to do such development work in coastal PNG and survived it quite happily, in fact I met her still living in PNG married to a formerely regular TT member there! :-)

Her boss might be breaking U.S. law if he is discriminating against her on the basis of her gender.

Phew... Looks like I'm safe for NG... I'm have none of the mentioned "dangerous" qualities...!
