size of visa or entry stamp

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

I understand that a tourist visa for Papua New Guinea is issued at the entry port, whether land, sea or air. Does anyone know if that is a full page stamp in my UK passport, or is it just a stamp that takes up a sixth/fifth or less of the page? A business/residence /etc visa may be different, it's the tourist visa info that I need. Cheers, Peter.

It may only be issued at the airport in Port Moresby, and probably at the busier seaports.
It is certainly not issued at the land border, coming from Indonesia!
All my PNG visas took up a whole page.

A visa could not be issued at the customs and immigration in Vanimo either, when I went in from W. Papua. There was a fee to pay (in kina only) on landing at Vanimo as well. I got a PNG visa before I left home at the Australian Consulate in Vancouver. At that time visas were issued only if you landed in Port Moresby and it is possibly still the case.

The visa took up a whole passport page.

My business visa (valid for 12 months) issued from Canberra in 2003 took up a whole page.

Entry and exit stamps were stamped on the facing page.
