South Seas Diving Adventure

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

I'm finishing a job in Singapore end April and planning to relax, dive and explore for 6-8 weeks before returning to the US. Single woman traveling alone, solid dive skills (80 dives in). Budget to moderate (need a/c) class of travel.

Starting to work on my itinerary now. I would appreciate suggestions on some of the best dive spots and amazing things to experience in the South Pacific. So many choices-hard to be realistic.

Rough draft so far: Phillipines (2weeks), Palau (1week), PNG (2weeks), Cairns (1week).

Thanks for sharing your itinerary recommendations with me.

Cheers,
DeLisa

the diving in PNG is generally superb due to the lack of other tourists and pollution - it is however an expensive place to get to stay in and travel around compared to indo or the philipines

not all the good dive places have hot water or a/c (eg lissennung island)

http://pngdive.com/index.html is a good place to look at the options

rabaul is a good one stop place for diving, volcanoes, people, culture, forests, nature etc

png is a fabulous place and if you have the chance i would highly reccommend a visit

have a great trip
