Tickets for domestic flights in PNG

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

Good day!
Could anyone tell me what the best way is to buy tickets for domestic flights inside PNG? Is it true that if you buy tickets through the Air Niugini website, you only pay when you actually use them? Are there other things to take into account? Does Air Niugini, and other airlines, allow for any flexibility? Are flights overbooked, or is it possible to buy them last minute as well?
Thanks for your input,
Boris

They are an international airline, you can buy tickets online from their website (and as normal have to pay immediately for them) or via a travel agent (useful if you have a complex itinerary).

Flexible tickets are available but they are more expensive (again as normal with any airline). Buying tickets at the last minute is often possible, again as normal they can be more expensive. Overbooking or full flights is not such a great problem except in and out of places where and when there are festivals.

The other domestic airline is PNG Air

or Air Niugini has a subsidiary called LinkPNG which offers a domestic service

Have a great trip.
