Trans Nugini - travel to PNG - Are Their charter flights reliable?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

Hi, planning trip to PNG in Late August and early September and have been corresponding with a company - Trans Nugini. They seem reputable and have what are claimed as first class lodges in MT Hagen, Karawari and Ambua. Prices are steep for one person, but given I am past the roughing it stage, I am willing to shell out the money for reliable services. I have read so much about unreliable tours and especially plane schedules in PNG - can anyone confirm reliability of Trans Nugini services - especially air schedules? If I build in 2 days front end and 2 days back end to and from Port Moresby to Sydney AUS - is this enough?

Thanks

TNT are pretty reliable and very professional. Having their own plane and pilot helps.

This company has been in business 25+ years and are reputable.

TNT is very reliable and their properties are gorgeous.

If you'd like something quite a bit more affordable with a little bit of roughing it in the Sepik region, try the Mt. Hagen Singsing tour from WanderTours .
