Travel buddies for Papua New Guinea PNG in August/September 2015

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

Hello,

we are two people and will travel to PNG in late August (24.). Then we would like to do the Sepik river, Mount Wilhelm and finally the Goroka festival. Anyone to join?

Questions to the people who visited before: do you think it's possible to find other backpackers along the way to share a guide?

Thanks, Bernd

HI! I too am thinking of making a trip like this to PNG. Although I may delay it to Oct/Nov, I am trying to get there earlier. What are your full dates and itinerary?

Cheers

Hi admbreen, we operate a guesthouse at the base of Mt Wilhelm. We can arrange pick up and drop off at Mt Hagen Airport and Transfer to Mt Wilhelm. We can also arrange guides for the Mt Wilhelm Trek. If you require any other information please contact us.

Hi Marshutka,
we have now found some friends who want to join, but in August 2016. So we will go to Ecuador this year and to PNG next year in a group of 6 people.
Cheers, Bernd

Hey,
Looking for some people for a back pack trip PNG. Very hard to find soulmates.
You surely have to visit the Goroka Festival on the 12th of September
To cut costs of national flights and guides a few
people are needed. what do you think/ advice.
Regards.
Serge

Hey,
As I mentioned before, 12th of September is very important because of the Goroka festival.
However we could meet eachother a bit later if it suits you better for a longer trip (how long ?)
Quick response is needed because of reservation for the festival.
Did you sort something out and how do you see the way of travelling.
For myself (Belgian male)there is no restriction of time and itinary
Regards.
