Tree kangaroos

Hi fellow travellers,

I'm would love to experience the tree kangaroos while travelling in Papua New Guinea and from searches I can see that there are species on various rain forest.

Any recommendation as to which area I have the best chances to see them?

I think you must be very very lucky to see them in the wild anywhere in PNG.

Yes, take them for a big bonus if you see any.
Plan to see birds of paradise instead, and maybe cuscuses.

Tree kangaroos are easier to see in Australia where 2 species occur.

they are very elusive and have been hunted out in any areas which are accessable or where people live

the port moresby nature park usually has some to see
