Visa

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

What is the current visa requirement for an Australian national visiting as a tourist for 2 weeks. Some say VOA is available some say not.

VOA for australians was withdrawn for a short period but has been available again for a few years

check with your airline if you wish to be sure

have a great trip !

your country's ministry of foreign affairs' official website and http://www.iatatravelcentre.com/ (the database that is used by the airlines to decide if they let you board or not) are the best places to find the answer to this question.

OK. I called the local PNG consulate. VOA on arrival available for Australian p port holders since July 2016. Canberra embassy website says differently and that is why I enquired.

Piacantstaystill. FYI that website does not even list the national carrier. Air Nuigini.

Airline is required so that they tell you whether you have the option of getting the visa through the airline. If your airline is not there it will not provide any help with the visa and you can choose 'other' from the dropdown menu. But the website is as reliable as it gets.

Happy travels!
