What's the latest situation with getting a visa on arrival at Port Moresby airport?
Is it straight-forward?
How much?
I've got a British passport.
Thanks
John

Gday mate,

When I was last in PNG (Aug/Sep 2008) the process for Visas at the airport was an easy one. Looking back it would have been easier to pick one up there than go through the rigmarole we had to here in Aus.
Can't remember the cost though, sorry about that.

Jon

Current situation with visa on arrival is:

Cost PGK100.00 per visa (approx USD40.00)
Passport must have a minimum of 6 months residual validity as of date of arrival in PNG
Not all nationalities are entitled to obtain a visa on arrival UK passport holder is not a problem but ask your
travel agent to check TIMM to get latest advice.

£12 if you get it through the High Commission in Waterloo Place, London (tube is Piccadilly Circus) Cheaper than POM airport (£25)

If you go in person they shut for visa applications at 3pm

You will need
1. Passport with 6 months on it
2. 2 passport pics for their records - it goes on the visa application form
3. £12
4. flight number of your inbound - outbound flights, if you have them.
5. Visa application form which they'll have - you just fill it in

It takes about 2 days for them to turn it around

You do get to see a cracking portrait of the Queen if you go there in person...

Sorry.
Don't know what happened there.
That was meant to go under Nauru.
I meant to say that I got my visa,Kina 100,in 2 minutes,no problems at Port Moresby airport.
A relief as I'd been rejected in Jayapura

Is it true you need to have Kina to pay for the visa-on-arrival in Port Moresby? And is it also true the money exchange in the terminal is closed on Sundays? I have 3 hours to change planes (to a domestic flight) and this makes me a bit nervous. Thanks!
