just back from another png visit,and some great news to share......the 60 day tourist visa for australian
tourists is now free!!!!!
you could have knocked me down with a copy of the post courier when the immigration officer refused to take my 100 kina note....and said "now free,please pass through"and issued me the visa.wow!
this is part of the new arrangements between the 2 countrys for visas,
i would think if you went to an overseas consul and asked for a visa there may still be a cost?
and a note to any travellers who arrive without any kina cash,there is a newly installed atm machine in the immigration area .

Wow! That was really a good news to travelers. :D Now people can freely travel without worrying about their visa fees.

Hi Don, the lack of PM's make contacting you difficult, however,,, I'm planing to travel through New England in PNG in around 12 months from now. Hopefully you still have my Email address- if you have any suggestions they would be appreciated.
