visa on arrival in Papua New Guinee

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

Is it possible to get visa on arrival at Port Moresby and do you need to bring lots of cash due to lack of ATM's I am a UK citizen

http://www.papuanewguinea.travel/passportvisainfo

supposedly from jan 2014 visa on arrival (UK is eligible) is now free but there is a dispute with australia
on the new arrangement s and the old fee may still apply

in any case the people there will be very helpful and if you dont have kina or the ATM isnt working
will help you pay in USD or AUD

uk passport holders can get voa at jacksons airport(pom),like most things in png ,things can change overnite
the old fee for tourist visa was 100 kinawhen i went through in october that fee was waived for aussie tourists
,not sure if uk cits get the same deal, the current situation is that tourists can still get voa,but a standoff with australia over visas for png citizens has seen png say that anybody seeking a business visa has to apply and get before arrival, this is due to come into law from march 1st.see previous thread about atm machine at arrivals counter area.
for ease of travel would bring kina with you.
