Warili Lodge - Tari

I posted earlier - before my rtrip - the prices for Warili Lodge.

Having returned from my trip I found this in my inbox

At an exchange rate of K4 = £1 the cost would now be £477.50
Very affordable - but I'd already changed my plans based on the original costing given to me.

Incidentally - the day I would have been going to Tari the flight had been delayed over 4 hours & I left them still waiting when I took my on time flight to Kavieng. I don't know if they even got away that day.

FYI - that email arrived on the 27th April - I'd already left for PNG on the 11th

I should also point out that I responded to the original costing of K1,910 per day immediately to telll them it was too expensive - so you have to make your own call as to whether this is on the level, or in fact they were just trying it on....

I told you that those prices were not fixed and you should have just gone! ;-)

No - that was just the Lodge trying it on & hopefully what they learned is
a) don't try it on &
b) making mistakes on prices - then having a long & then having a protracted think about making the mistake means some people will spend their money elsewhere

Besides - the way the internal flights were I'd still be sitting in Moresby waiting for a plane to go to Tari ;-)
