Wewak-Dagua

Hi,

I am planning for a trip to PNG in 2009. I will be in the Wewak area and I'm looking for help getting lodging and a local guide who can accompany me to look for some aircraft wreckage near the Dagua airstrip.

Any advice/names/phone numbers will be appreciated.

i presume you are from australia?the area around dagua/boiken/but/wewak/cape wom contain a lot of old ww2 junk,locals usually know where this is,dagua is a large coastal village with a school/health centre and churches,they have had a lot of contact with "white skins" over many years.you may also want to include a trip out to both mushu and kairiru islands....the biggest problem is getting around by vehicle,very expensive car/4wd hire!!!what time of the year are you looking at,and how many people travelling?i have a couple of local contacts in wewak,drop me a private message with your phone contact in oz?
