is there any way to get to the Pitcairn islands except by private boat?

I think there is a cargo ship on a semi-regular basis out of Tahiti.

according to visitpitcairn.pn there is a dedicated supply/passenger ship that will take you out there.

it seems that they're also looking for people to immigrate to the island to booster population numbers.

I have also heard that there is a boat,though I have never taken it.

Can't find any weblink to it now though.....
