Apia Airport - Left Luggage

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa

Does anyone know if there is any where in Apia Airport to leave luggage? We will be travelling with a mountain bike (packed up in a box) and would like to have somewhere to leave it rather than taking it to our fale.

Thanks

Keren

Unfortunately there is no such facility at the airport or somewhere around it. However there are some small stores at the airport, i.e. someone wrapping boxes and suitcases. Let them wrap the box and keep it until you will be back. When I see what luggage storing costs elsewhere, like AUD50 per week in Sydney, which would be more than 100 Tala in Samoa, they might be really interested to get that kind of money. Ask them, let them give you a receipt and take a photo of them with the wrapped box stored in their booth - should be alright. Or ask the driver of the Airport Shuttle bus. He is a decent guy and 100 Tala are real money. How long you want to leave the box?

Be careful Bro.

There in Samoa, private ownership of things is not understood. Alot of things come up missing lol.

I went to Samoa with a 2 duffel bags of clothes and left with 2 shirts and shorts. lol

Your things will start to walk around the village! (not joking)
