A group of us are about to book accommodation, and have 2 in mind: The Valentine Motel (Fugalei Street), and The Livingstone Accommodation (Maagao/Faatoia). We're planning on seeing some of the sports over the Games period in Apia. Are both these locations near the main town centre?
I've seen a few reviews (Thank you God for Google.. lol) for Valentine, but none for Livingstone.. is this a fairly new accommodation? Does anyone have any experiences with these 2 places (good or bad !)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance!

I have spent time at Valentines in the past and have nothing but good things to say. Justin and Verona, the owners, are really wonderful. It is run more like a hostel than a hotel though, but the price was right. Most of the rooms upstares share a bathroom and the shower is downstares. It didn't bother me in the least as everything was very clean!! They used to include a continental breakfast which was usually fresh fruit, eggs and toast. Nice start to the day. Also, they have a nice little common room with a TV and they used to have a pool table at the back as well as a nice big backyard. It is litterally just down the street from the new market where you can buy all sorts of good things to eat and you can walk to just about anywhere from Valentines if you have a little time including the movie theatre, shops, internet cafe, bank machines and the sea wall. It comes highly recommended!
