Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best central budget acommodation in Apia? Thanks!
we stayed at bertie's b&b, which must be one of the cheapest places around, rooms have AC and an ensuite and include brekkie... but it's not in town, it's like a 10min busride west of apia | 1
I stayed at Hotel Elisa - budget styles. They have rooms out the back that have shared bath rooms and kitchen. It is very basic and the kitchen only had a jug and microwave with little in the way of crockery and cutlery but at less than 100 Tala per night for two people you can't really complain... | 2
Princess Tui's was great - well, at least it was in 2004! | 3
An excellent budget style place in Apia, right on the harbour in the village of Moata'a is Taumesina Hideaway. It consists of 4 self contained fales right on the harbour's edge. Prices range from 95-115 tala (with breakfast). It's very safe, you can swim and snorkel in the lagoon, amazing sunrises, barbecue and go to sleep to the sound of the waves gently rolling over the nearby reef. The hosts are amazing, a real family atmosphere. Got to taumesinahideaway.com for more info. You won't regret it. | 4
