| clarksteve18:38 UTC05 May 2007 | Hi All,
'7 more sleeps' until we land in Apia. We are traveling with a 9 month old and would like to know whether baby food is readily available.
We plan to stay in Apia for a few days then heading South East for a week or so. We will then be heading to a place near Salelologa for another week or so.
Fresh food is obviously preferable but we would like to have a few tins or cans of baby food available just in case. Are such items available in Apia / Salelologa? If so what varieties / brands?
Thanks all
Steve

There are fruit, cereal and fruit, vegetables, rice with vegetables, beef or chicken with veggies and/or rice. Brand is usually Watties from New Zealand. I recommend that you buy it only in Apia and only in one of the stores mentioned. In smaller stores or outside Apia they might have some, but they could be quite old as this kind of good is not very common in Samoa and they could be on the shelf for quite a while already. Check the expiry date in any case anyway.
