cheap flight NZ Samoa

Hi,
I'm searching for a cheap flight connection from NZ or Australia to Samoa... in internet i find flights for around 500 USD. do you know if it is possible to get some cheaper ones? - where? better to book via internet from home (2 month before) or in an travel agency in NZ, just a few days in advance?
Maybe anybody knows cheaper flight operators.

Your choice of airlines is Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia and, if you don't bother to change planes along the route, Fiji Airways. Take a look at their webs for info about fares and schedules.

The normal rate for return flights between New Zealand and Samoa has been around 1000 Samoan Tala for decades already - which is about USD 440. From Australia it's about 30% more and so is the flight time. There are no last minute deals of any kind, so booking in New Zealand just days before the flight will never get you a better deal, but most likely a lot higher fare.

Booking around 2 months ahead on the Internet is the way to go. Check out the websites recommended by #1 (there are no other airlines going to Samoa) and maybe you are lucky to find special deals. February and March are usually good for that, when the local summer holiday season is over. Around Christmas is summer holiday peak time.
