Cyclone Evan - damage

Looking at going to Samoa for a wee break in a few months .. just wondering if there's anyone that has travelled there since Cyclone Evan and could give a good insite into the damage on beachs/facilities and what impact it has had on their stay? Wary of going to a destination still in cleanup mode and beaches covered in debris .. and travel agents don't seem to have any idea, they just want to make sales.
Any advice?

It was not that bad and most cleanup is done already, except for a few areas in Apia. Aggie Grey's hotel in town was badly hit; Coconutsbeach Resort and Sinalei on the Upolu South Coast had damage too. Most other touristic areas had minor problems only which are solved already by now and if not now, they will certainly be in a few months. So I would not expect any Cyclone Evan related problems by then anymore. To be completely on the safe side, think of going to Savaii, which was not affected at all.

Sorry to hear bout Aggie Grey's. Will they be able to restore it? I'm not yet planning a trip to Samoa, but when I do I rather like the idea of staying there

In the lower parts of the compound (and most of it belongs to that), the river flood rose to over 6 feet high, destroying most of the buildings (i.e the bungalows) and leaving an incredible amount of mud. It looks like they are going to re-open, but how and when and on which scale is not published yet. They are very vulnerable to flooding at their location, but the location is a main part of their heritage and popularity.
