family holiday

Hi there
We are a family of 5 (children aged between 9 and 3) and have 16 days in Samoa at end of August. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of where to go. We are sorted for the first 6 days , as we are getting married there. We then have 10 days to do our own thing. We would really like to experience the culture while there , and some snorkelling , etc. We are thinking about 5 days in fales at Manase on Savaii, and then have another 5 days not sure whether to head back to Upolu. Also wondering about Manono Island. Any suggestions suitable for families really appreciated...many thanks!

Monono is good but i would suggest only 1 night as it is very small although the food is great with the kids (very basic fish, rice etc.). by far our favourite place was Satuiatua www.samoa-hotels.com/satuiatua/Index.html it was absolutely fantastic with the kids. the beach was the safest we found and had great coral very close to shore (our 3 year old could look at it easily) the beach was sandy and we could swim all of the tides. the family were very accomodating with the kids and would make them whatever they wanted for dinner (2 minute noodles!) we were treated like one of the family when we were there it was great!
