Fia Fia Nights

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa

Hi,

most Fales have their Fia Fia Nights on Saturdays, I know of Taufua having one on Wednesdays too. We're planning on staying there for two nights, but sure enough not on a Saturday or Wednesday :)

Is it possible to attend a Fia Fia Night without staying the night? We'll be having a car, so wherever we will be on Wed, we could drive back to Taufua to watch the Fia Fia. I'm happing with buying a drink at the bar while I'm there ....

Does anyone know of any other Fales offering Fia Fia Nights on other nights?

Cheers!

Approach whoever is in the office or bar at Taufua and just ask them if you can stay and watch the fia fia and buy drinks from the bar. It's just a common courtesy and I'm sure they won't mind :o)

Both Sat and Friday night fia fia are great at Taufua. If you wanted to stay for dinner, they will charge you about WST$30 tala per person and they usually have lobster on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

hi tina,
thanks for your answer.
wow, so taufua has fia fia nights 3 times a week (wed, fri and sat)? I'm sure we can make it to one of them! :)

Uhh.. lobster sounds tempting! Great, so if we ask in advance we should be fine. Also, we're planning on staying a couple of nights there anyway, which will probably be sun and mon night. That should put us in a good position to be able to come back and watch the show.

We're off on Sat, exciting! :)

Sorry - I just realised that I put Friday night for fia fia ... that should read Wednesdays and Saturdays! There are two fia fia nights per week at Taufua, not three. Apologies for any confusion :o)

no worries. just got back from Samoa yesterday.
Taufua's Fia Fia nights are indeed on Wed and Sat. We went to the one at Sinalei on Wednesday, as we were staying next doors at the Surfcamp in Maninoa. They were alright with us being there as we bought a (ridiculously overpriced) drink, but we had to stay kind of out of the way for their guests, and stay on the side towards the back.
