There are lots of places "to go" in Samoa and "things to do". You have to tell us what you like to do first... Are you looking for high adventure? Hiking? Diving? Snorkelling? Cultural immersion? Nature? Communing with a higher power? Drinking beer on a beach all afternoon? Absolutely nothing?

Also, what is your budget? Are you looking for a beach fale (hut) or luxury? Or something in between?

Looking into a guidebook might answer these very general questions...

If you really plan to go to Samoa , buy or borrow the Lonely Planet guidebook.
It is a very useful little book and you can use it for notes and writing down people's addresses and so on.
August is supposed to be a drier month.
May is good before the kids get out of school.
Is there still a high risk of dengue fever in April?

There winter time is the best time to go.
Renting a car.. and venturing around both islands is the best way to see Samoa.

I can give you tons of advice... but need to know what your budget is..
The guide book.. will give you options.. but I can get you far more... i.e... going to the blowholes..
at a certain time of day.. , where to stay.. where NOT to stay..etc.

Write me anytime. Kristin
