Getting from airport to Lalomanu (+ other transport questions)

Hi there!

My friend and I are traveling to Samoa for a week at the end of June/start of July. We have our first few nights booked at a place in Lalomanu and were wondering the best way to get there from the international airport? Our accommodation offers a transfer, but we would prefer a cheaper option if there are any! Our flight arrives at the international airport at 4pm in the afternoon.

Additionally, is it possible to rent scooters or bicycles in Samoa? We would like to get to the ocean trench and some waterfalls but would prefer not to rent a car if possible. We would like to get to the ferry at the opposite end of the island to Lalomanu, and would be interested to know how much a taxi would cost if anyone has an idea on this - I have seen it discussed on earlier forums but they're all quite old now.
