| pebbles200505:52 UTC03 Apr 2007 | My friends and I are off to Samoa in 2 weeks time and I need some help with accomodation:
We arrive in Apia in the early morning but also want to be able to walk around Apia on the next day:
Our options are:
Princess Tui - i heard that there are problems with water here Seaside Inn Berties BB
We are heading onto Savai: and was thinking of staying at lusias lagoon chalet or siufaga.
Can anyone provide any advice or an alternative? Want something nice but not too expensive...
Any suggestions for manano?
Please HELP!!!

| islandboi32121:17 UTC03 Apr 2007 | Hi there
Yes, there are definately some problems with the water at the Princess Tui Inn. The problem being there isn't any water at night time! This has been a situation I have encountered on the 5 or 6 times that I have stayed here. The owner does not seem to ever offer anything rather than lame excuses to this situation rather than a "let's try to get this thing fixed" (a rather un-Samoan concept, unfortunately!) option.
Now, the Princess Tui Inn is a fine place to stay otherwise. It is in a quiet area of Apia and a rather short (1/2 hour) walk into the city centre along the waterfront so it is convenient. It is reasonably priced and professionally run.
Another good option may be the Outrigger Hotel. The problem here is it is a long walk to town and you will pretty well have to cab it. (taxis are very cheap in Apia... 3 Tala for a ride in town).
I have no experience with the Seaside Inn or Bertie's B and B.
Hope this helps.
