Lalomanu Fale

I am looking to stay in a beach fale for four nights with my boyfriend in Lalomanu, we are looking for something a bit above basic if there is anything like that around...Taufua seems pretty popular, has anyone stayed there and can offer advice? We are happy to spend about $75 AUD a night between us both. Are there any other recommended fale's around this area? Also in regards to renting a car and the road system in Samoa, is it possible to rent a car for about 10 days and see a significant amount of Upolu??

In Lolomanu there are only two +basic establishments: Litia's and Taufua. Litia's is a place for those, who want quiet and privacy, whereas Taufua is more for party-people. Both places are nice and clean and both serve excellent food. As for renting a car on Upolu, Funway (in Apia) is always good. And 10 days is more than enough to see what's to see on Upolu.

I do believe your previous questions about accommodation prices for Samoa were answered in your 2 previous posts. Again, to reiterate there IS NO MID PRICED ACCOMMODATION AT THE BEACH ON UPOLU ISLAND AWAY FROM APIA. If you stay at Taufua, you will be spending considerably less than $75 a night!!

If you wish to stay at Lalomanu, you will have as fiefolau has said. There is no aircon, no hot showers,no resorts, no nightclubs, well, no nothing really except a lovely beach, great snorkelling/swimming, 2 great places to stay with charming hosts and good food.

Yes, you can rent a car for as long as you wish in Samoa and you would be able to see everything you wanted.

Just for the record, I'd like to note that apart from those 2 main establishments, there's a bunch of more basic fales on the beach in Lalomanu. They would pobably be cheaper and less secure.
This is obviously irrelevant for OP, of course - of interest only for die-hard budget travellers, or for those desperate to be at least 50 metres from the "crowds" and still stay in Lalomanu.

Greg, isn't it annoying when posters choose to ignore previous replies and simply keep reposting the same Q? ;-)

Thanks for your help Fiefolau, I think Litia's would be good for us. islandboi, you did answer my previous questions so I was now asking about beach fales as I decided this would be an option, no need to spell in capitals, if you think i'm asking the same question it's quite easy for you to ignore it. Laszlo, my question was different, no need to be patronising.

I am also going to Samoa during late August. I have found Budget Car rental to have the cheapest rate with no drop off airport fee or after hour drop off fees.
Visit http://www.jasons.com/Samoa/Upolu/Apia/Budget-Rent-a-Car for further information and to get a $20T discount.
They charged $150T per day for a Toyota Rav4 or similar or a $130T per day for a weekly rental
