Litia Sini Beach Resort - Lalomanu

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa

My parents and I returned from Lalomanu to homeland New Zealand just a few days prior to this horrific tsunami, which has shocked us to the core. After 6 visits there we feel almost like family. We know many of the staff by name, and have kept in regular email and text contact when not there. Lydia and Joe, and their wonderful staff are in our thoughts daily.

We want to do something to help them rebuild their idyllic and wonderful spot. We are trying to contact any past visitors or anyone wanting to assist Lydia and Joe rebuild their dream, whether by money, assistance, goods etc. We are not wanting anything at this stage, just expressions of interest to assist. We will be contacting Lydia in the next week or so to gauge how they are placed for moving forward.

i have also been to litia's many times over the years ( we have travelled to samoa 4 times, and love it)
litia's is also a special place for us, i have been trying to get in connact with lydia and jo, to offer help.
my hubby is a plumber, and i am a nurse/midwife, but we want to help with the rebuild. i understand that the fales are all being assessed currently adn them will be advised when they can rebuild and what restirctions they will have,. so i guess we will have to wait untill they know what they wnat to do. so lucky to have experinced before all this.
but yes we are very keen to be involved in going over and hleping.
so count us in jamie and sue from australia.

In 2003-2004 I took a year out to leave Scotland and go travelling round the globe and some of my best memories - in fact, probably the best memories - are from Litia Sinis, lazing in the water in the moonlight, watching the stars in a perfectly clear sky.

I'd love to do whatever I can help. Drop me a PM.

James
