Longstay in Samoa / Selfcatering Houses

Hi, I am planning to stay with my wife and baby-son for some three weeks in Samoa. Rather than exploring the islands ruthlessly we intend to stay a one base (or two) and make some daytrips in a rental car.

Rather than staying in some resort we would like to stay in a self-catering house or appartment somewhere close to some beach. Is there something like this in Samoa? I did not find anything in the guidebooks.

Any suggestions for staying somewhere for more than ten days and not paying a fortune??

We stayed for 6 weeks at Vaiala Beach cottages, handy to Palolo Deep, and you can walk or take a cheap taxi to the town markets.

hi another place which looks good, is calso excutive homes. to check it out. go to samoa-hotels.ws then click on villas / apartments. it's just out of town,so not really near a beach, but your in samoa, no where is taht far from a beach really.
grat idea to have a 'home base' and do the day trips , espically with the little ones!
it has 2 bedrooms , full kitchen, washing machine. and it looks new and clean. and its only $230 tala night! ( min 5 night stay)
