looking for spearfishing information in samoa

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa

hi there, can anyone help me with spearfishing info. Will be there in june for 12 days and looking for info on shore free diving or off the boat. And is it easy to find someone to take you out on a boat. probably not looking to do a tour etc.

Also any info on species available there, including crays/abalone etc.

i will be on both island so any awesome spots would be great, and if anyone is there at the same time and keen to have a go i'd be grateful for a diving buddy

thanks

Hi There,
I live on Upolu & will be happy to show you some spots. I spear mostly from shore but there are also some great offshore reefs just out of Apia harbour. Depending on the spot you can expect snapper, GT, Dog tooth & the odd coral trout.
I'll PM you my contact details.
Cheers,
Sean

Hey Srkhel, I'm coming to Samoa in about three weeks and am looking to do some spearfish snorkeling. I'm coming with a great friend of mine, Esther Manu Samuelu Tonomalu. Her family is from Upolo, It would be nice to hook up with someone and poke some fish. If you have any time, maybe we can go out sometime.
