| tinabrooks12:14 UTC08 Sep 2007 | I am clueless when it comes to Samoa and Fales - we are going to be in Samoa 28th Sept do you recommend an open or closed fale? do we have to bring any sheets? mosquito nets? i've heard it will be hot!
Can someone please recommend a clean/safe Fale for us to stay in perferrably near the surf beach please - budget accommodation only.
Should we book in advance or is it ok to just turn up?
Thanks

Yes, it will be hot, so this is why you will find the outdoor style of living in a fale to be so comfortable in Samoa. There is nothing like sleeping with the ocean breeze blowing through!
I am not a surfer so I can't give you any surfing information.

Both great surf spots on Savai'i. I'd phone ahead from Apia.
Maybe one of the locals who look at this branch can give you more information. I haven't been there for 2 or 3 years. islandboi gave good advice but I would add to bring anti-mosquito stuff, Deet, especially for Aganoa
