Samoa: accom near airport

Hi, we arrive in Samoa at 4am and want somewhere easy and close so we can snooze for what remains of the night. There are five of us and we're budget travellers, though no dormitories please because one of us is a baby. Any ideas gratefully appreciated! Cheers, Careyanne.

The only budget style one I know of is the Airport Lodge

Try the Outrigger Hotel, the have fales in their back yard or you can rent a room in the main house.
Since there are not many flights arriving in Samoa, even when you get there at 4am, the whole island will be awake and there is a bus that can take you to your accommodation.

The Outrigger is a nice place, but in central Apia, 35 miles from the airport, not close in any way at all. There might be a bus, not always though. And nobody on the island notices an arriving flight; at 4am everybody is fast asleep except those travelers at the airport and their drop-off and pick-up parties. Samoans have seen planes before - this does not exite them anymore -:)

Yeah! That is certainly the same with me. Nevertheless neither me nor my neighbours get up at 4 am anymore to watch the plane -:) And I doubt that you would ...
