Samoa - money and internet data sim card

After long years, I am heading back to visit Samoa and Fiji. Could anybody please enlighten me on some of the issues that worry me and that I have not got to deal with before?

In Samoa:
a) I guess I would love to diverse my financial resources...as I do not have access to AUD or even FJD, is it okay to bring USD dollars ? If so, is it worth exchanging them at the airport or shall I wait to exchange them somewhere in Nadi?

b) I intend to purchase a sim card with internet data. Any tips on the operator I should to zero in on? I would prefer to complete that all at the airport - is it possible?

OK to take US money to change into local currency.....at banks or moneyxchanges......just make sure you get any leftover money changed back into US before you leave that country.....

Is there an internet café on Lalomanu Beach where one can also a phone call to American Samoa please?
