Hi There, I've found some useful info from other users on this topic and am planning my trip to Samoa. My wife and I want to surf and relax on the beach. First option we considered was Lalomanu (Litia Sini or Taufua Beach Fales), but we're now considering other three options as well: 2. Salamumu Beach, a place called Sa'moana Resort, 3. near or in Coconuts a Surf Resort called Maninoa, and 4. Sina PJ beach fales in the village of Tafitoala.
Please help me make my decision! Any info is apreciated.

There's one small break right off the resort, but their boat for transfers to other breaks is located in another village, about a 20 minute drive away.
Maninoa Surf Camp is semi-enclosed beach fales situated between Coconuts Beach Club and Sinalei Reef Resort. One advantage of this place is that you can always go to one of these other resorts for meals and drinks if you like. Otherwise it's pretty basic. There are two fairly distant paddle-out breaks off of Maninoa, and the resort has a couple of small boats which they use for transfers to the more distant breaks. One of the most frequent breaks they visit is the left off of Tafitoala. Maninoa stays relatively busy, which is good if you're looking for company, but also means that a boat load of other surfers arrives at the breaks with you.
Sina PJ's in Tafitoala is the most basic of the three options. Again, semi-enclosed fales, nice family running the place, not usually very busy. You can paddle out to the Tafitoala break, and there's a fellow by the name of Neil who you can look up to transfer you to other breaks either in his small tinny or by land in his 4x4. Being with Neil is nice because he's very knowledgeable about local conditions and breaks and generally searches out breaks where no one else is.
