Samoa trip

Hi all,

I will be in Samoa for around 4.5 days before continuing to American Samoa for a short side trip.

I'm a solo traveler, budget conscious. Certainly not looking for luxury resorts - but not backpacker standards either.

Basically, I'm struggling to logistically plan my trip. I was thinking of staying in Apia and just hiring out a taxi for a day to visit some sights (the Ocean Trench, some of the beaches - anymore recommendations).

I guess I wanted to know the best way to go about it. My biggest issue seems to be that I need to return to Apia on a Sunday before my flight out on Monday morning. Any tips, any ideas on how much a taxi for a day trip will be?

I do not know if this will help you or not.... However, you can do Samoa for about $250 a week.
