You're going to have to provide more information. Are you in Samoa on business? Pleasure? Are you wanting to stay in inexpensive accomodations? Luxury accommodations?

| cbhammer11:33 UTC09 Nov 2007 | Hi again. Ok, here is more info. We are in Samoa for pleasure, We are planning to stay in budgets accomodations most of the time. We wish to relax at the beach and to take short walks. we like child-friendly places. We have been told that Samoa is not good to visit at this time of the year. After we bought the tickets. Is that true? Is there many mosqoitos this time of the year? Actual we are travelling further to Tonga afterwards. So if you have usable information about Tonga also we receive it with smile Thanks

There were a few families staying with kids as well when I was there. Also very child friendly and a lot of other kids around is in Manase on Savai'i at Tanu's.

| ktthorn09:50 UTC14 Nov 2007 | Samoa can be an wonderful place to go anytime of the year if you know where.. to go and what to bring along. If you go to Apia... rent a car and go to the other side.. Lalomanu side. There are allot of beach fales resorts.. but with children.. sincerely.. the best place to stay.. is at Boomerang Creek.. for the food/ and the fact they have showers and bathroom in your fale.. and you don't have to cross the street to get to them. (with kids.. that is a great plus)
However.. the beach is not that great.. With that said.. you can easily get in your car and drive a mile or two in either direction and swim as long as you like. The family that owns boomerang's.. really tries to make your stay special..
IN Savaii... the best/safest places to stay.. are Regina's.... in Manase... food is good.. bathrooms are adequate and the fales are great.. I have never been overbothered by mosi's.. just bring repellant and don't worry about it.
In Savaii.. there is a great beach fale resort near the blowholes. They have the greatest food.. nice fales.. and it's just a few miles from the blowholes.. A MUST SEE.. at HIGH TIDE only. Don't bother going otherwise..
The Banyan tree walk is a bust... so is big foot...
The turtle farm in Manase is a MUST.. but be sure to go when the sun is right over head... That way you can clearly see the turtles and you can swim with them.. feed them (love mangos)...
Write me if you want more details. I have a dear friend Carol.. who lives in Samoa.. she will help you too..
my email.. is ktthorn@aol.com carol's cathorn@samoa.ws
Carol gives tours of the island if you want.. All day..etc.. she's amazing.. and you will love her.. She can show you all sorts of places and you can then decide where... you want to stay. It's up to you.
Being it's rainy season.. the greatest things you can bring with you.. are large ziplock bags... supersize. You can put all your clothes and towels inside them and put them in the case.. That way nothing gets damp.. nasty. You can also put your wet stuff inside.. til you have a chance to find a laundry...
Ice chest..as a piece of luggage is a great thing too.. Fill it with ice.. and your favorite foods before you venture around the island.. because once you pull out of Apia.. you are on your own foodwise.
Write me if you'd like any more advice..
Kristin
PS if you tell the people Kristin and Carol sent you.. they will be sure.. to be a bit nicer to you... ( we stay often)
