SAVAII where to stay what to do????

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa

HI

We are planning on going straight from the international airport catching the ferry straight over to Salelologa and staying one night there. In the morning we will rent a car from Savaii Rental Cars - do you know much about them? the average rate? we have emailed them but so far no reply.

Then we were going to drive to Satuiatua to surf for 2 days - did you go there? any cheap/safe/clean accommodation to advise us on?

Then we were going to head to the Banya Canopy treetop fales for one night.

Then head to Manese for 2 nights - were thinking of staying at Regine's fale? can you recommend somewhere?

Then head to Manano Island for one night and one night in Apia before we fly out.

Anywhere we MUST SEE in Savaii??

Any tips about accommodation would be much appreciated too
Do we need to book in advance or most places have vacancies if we just wing it?

Thanks
Tina

Satuiatua Beach Fale is famous in the surfing fraternity. Good place, and the village is a lovely place to walk around especially on the ridge behind the village.
If you are keen surfers, you might just decide to stay there.

last weekend all fales in Manase were full except for some in Tanu and Stevenson's
