Hi All Im off to Samoa for a week in April. I mainly want to get in some good snorkeling. Mary
i would recommend seabreeze resort, the rooms are amazing / clean, comfy beds and linen and the bathrooms are fantastic. the price is approx $200 aus from memory, with breaky, the snorkeling here is some of the best we have found on our 3 holidays to samoa, also you can hire kayaks and go off to private beaches etc. other place is litia's at lalamono beach, but they have shared bathroom facilities, but the beach here is nice and also the snorkeling is good. are you going to savaii, at legoto resort there is a company that can take you out on snorkeling/diving trips. the beach just in frount of lelagoto resort is beautiful and deep. the rooms here are great bit pricey , but you could also stay jsut near them to the right is savaii lagoon resort, all there rooms have bathrooms/and kitchette's .enjoy your holiday. | 1
a great option is aggie grey's resort, which is right next to the airport, and aquasamoa scuba and water sports is affiliated with aggie grey's. if staying at the resort, you get to use all of the non motorized water sports equipment for free, including snorkeling. there is kite boarding, water skiing, a big water trampoline, wake boarding, banana boat rides, snorkeling, scuba diving for beginners to experts and even fishing trips. there are also tours to the rain forest, 100 meter waterfalls, cave pools, etc... there is a lot going on. i hope this helps and have a great vacation. | 2
http://www.samoa-hotels.com/satuiatua/Index.html i reckon is the nicest snorkeling we found. it is really nice family run. it doesn't have private bathrooms but the shared ones were very clean. personally i didn't like the reef out from aggie grey's resort as there was heaps of sediment in the water. the best thing about satuiatua is that it is right in the middle of a village so you can actually get to meet some of the locals which you have no chance of at aggie greys although it is beautiful. you really need to do some of the cheaper fales to really get to see samoa. we did a mix of the expensive ones and the cheaper ones and by far enjoyed the cheaper ones better. have fun! | 3
