South Coast places to eat

Hi there
We are staying at Sinalei resort 19-26 November and don't want to be restricted all the time to eating at the resort. And at $51 per day per person for breakfast and dinner it's way too expensive.
Can anyone advise if there are some places to eat, outside of Sinalei and Coconuts (which I believe is next door), fairly close by?

Unfortunately there is nothing else around Sinalei and Coconutsbeach. And even Coconutsbeach is nothing you can easily walk over to in the evening. You would need a car for that.

Otherwise you would have to drive over the mountain to Apia (20 min). Many nice places for dinner there.

I second renting a car so you can get to Apia's restaurants. Sinalei is rather isolated. I remember it being easy to walk on the beach to the Coconuts restaurant, but this was during the day and not at high tide. The car will also be useful to getting to other beaches, seeing waterfalls, and the like.

There is a few bars around there. Also, ask the locals in the villages by there where the best places to eat are. They will tell you but just maybe, not tell you and just invite you over for a good ole Samoan dinner!

There are no bars around there at all (South Coast). Nor places to eat. And it became very uncommon to invite any tourists for dinner. They eat too much and leave too little in return (just joking).

First of all, Samoans dont eat until they are full, they eat until they are tired!!! LOL.

I actually found myself at Samoans' table alot when I was there. In fact, one time a young man came up to me on the road and ask me to come have dinner with them.

I am trying to think of the bar I was at. It was next to the surf camp between a couple resorts.
