Hi, My wife and I are going to Samoa. I'm very keen on surfing and have been surfing on a regular basis (average twice per week) for the last year, but I'm still quite a beginner as I only started more seriously a couple of years ago when we arrived in Australia. I surf a 6'0' twin fins fish. We are thinking of staying in Upolu, Lalomanu. We also want to relax and spend our holidays in a nice place to stay. We've checked out two places there that look prety nice, Taufua and Litia Sini Beach Resort, and are thinking of organising the surf with Moanalei Dive'N'Surf. My questions: Would the waves around be okay for my level? Here in Sydney I usually surf up to 5 foot waves, though feel more comfortable with 3 or 4 foot waves. Should we go some where other than Lalomanu? Where? How about the places in Lolamanu - Any comments? Any other place that you would recommend? Thanks very much for any info! Cheers, Derek. TextText

Here's some more info: http://www.worldsurfaris.com/package_1.asp?pkgid=1<BR>http://www.samoanaresort.com/

Yeah, about the surf, I should have not included that bit. Too complicated to reply to that as no-one else than me would know my surf level, and I know it mostly depends on the swell, etc. I'm just a bit worried about the shalowness... But most important of all is to get info on best place to stay close the surf breaks and the boats surf operations.
Thanks again. Cheers,
Valentin.
