Taxi to Apia from airport

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa

I will be flying in with my family next week to Samoa at a 12:50am arrival time. What I am likely to pay for a taxi to Apia or should I use a hotel transfer (I suspect that this will be more expensive). Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

You will looking at up to 60 Tala for a taxi... Bargain hard.

Shuster's hotel transfer van is often off and on. If it is on, they are much cheaper and will take you directly to your Apia accommodation. If it isn't running, you could try to get a ride with the Aggie Grey's shuttle that is usually there. Last year they had no pickups and since the guy had to go back to town anyways I got a lift from him for 10 tala.

Maybe the other Samoa regulars will be able to tell you the status of the Shuster shuttle.

We usually take the Schuster shuttle but it was not there the last time we arrived so we took the Aggie Grey's shuttle for not much more than Schuster.
Taxis would be more expensive.
