Travelling on a budget in Samoa, & National Park

Hi travellers
I read somewhere that there s no need for a visa when traveling between Samoa and American Samoa, however it was an 8 year old post, how is the current situation?

Also can I camp around Samoa and Ofu and is it safe to do so and are there also campsites around? I also read about this cheap lodging in Samoa, of which name I forgot...., Anyone can tell me how much that costs usually?
