Visa for TouristCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa
I realized we get a 60 day visa but I am asking how do I get a longer one. I want to be there for 180 days. How do I get the 180 day visa before coming.
You might get 90 days and you could just go to American Samoa for a day or two, re-enter and get another 90 days again. You should not do that more often though as they do not really like it. And they do not have to give you another visa - they have the option to refuse it. The other way would be to take the 60 or 90 days and apply for an extension at the Immigration in Apia. You should do that latest three weeks before your initial visa expires. They will ask you for a local sponsor which would usually be your host. 180 days should not be very difficult - for longer stays you might need to provide good reasons and even more a good sponsor. | 1
I understand. Plus, I know there is alot of "pissing matchs" between Samoa and American Samoa over visas. Dumb if you ask me. lol I thought there was a 365 year for 100 Tala. Not true? | 2
