wheat free and Vegetarian in Samoa?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Samoa

Hi,
I am vegetarian - no fish - and have a wheat intolerance... boring I know!
I will be staying in Samoa at Lalomanu Beach and at Virgin cove.
Does any one know if I will be able to eat the provided breakfasts/dinners or will I have to truck my own food in? I am happy enough with eggs, salad, rice, potatoes, cheese and fruit..
thanks.

we stayed at Taufua beachfales at lalomanu. food comes on plates and you just help yourself. there's different things each night, i'd say about 7 to 10 different types of food, so if you don't like something, you'll just skip it and get the next one.

for breakfast we had toast, peanut butter, jam, pancakes, sausages, bacon, eggs (slightly differnent each day) fresh fruit

dinner: chinese stir frys, lamb, chicken pieces, rice plain or with egg and veg, fish, green salad, potato salad, fresh fruit.

i actually think you'd be alright?!

oh and the food at taufua's is said to be one of the best in samoa! we stayed there and at maninoa, and although maninoa was yum too, it didn't even get close to taufua's food :)

have fun!

I'm sure you reading other topics, but I'd just point out that, depending on when you're going, you'll be very unlikely to be able to stay at Lalomanu or anywhere else on the south coast, because of today's earthquake. The damage is dreadful and it seems at this stage that loss of life is worst in this area.
