Accommodation in Makira (Kirakira)

Hello, can anyone help me here? I asked around for accommodation prices in Kirakira (I don't need much, just a single - or serving as single - room with sharing bathroom facilities and some kitchen/ette for cooking meals) and looks like at least in two Lodges (Sunbiz and Freshwind) the price for a really basic room is the staggering 320 to 330 Solomon Dollars (quite decent Chester Rest House charges 200 dollars, and that's in the capital)!! Do you know of any accommodation in Kirakira that would be in the range of 150-250 Solomon Dollars per night??? Your rather prompt response will be greatly appreciated.

The Church of Melanesia, Diocese of Hanuato'o has a Rest House in Kira Kira near the Church offices. It has pretty much what you are looking for. The Brothers at Chester should be able to tell you how to contact them. (It is actually closer to the middle of town than Fresh Wind, which has no communal kitchen).
Be careful with electricity, though, and possibly water as it may be pumped electrically. Last time I was in Kira Kira, the power was on for one hour, off for one hour, as the generator can't cope with the whole town at once.
