Boat from Munda to Seghe?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Solomon Islands

Hi,
does anyone know of a public boat going between Munda and Seghe?
I can find the connections from Honiara to Gizo, stopping in Seghe but not in Munda it seems? And of course there is the boat between Gizo and Munda. But is there really no interconnection between Munda and Seghe by boat??
If not by public boat, does anyone have an idea how much we would have to pay for a charter and which guesthouse in Munda could organize it?

I'm planning a 3 week itinerary through the Solomon islands and was hoping to 1. catch the ferry from Honiara to Gizo, then 2. the public boat on to Munda, then 3. some boat to Seghe, then hop between 2-3 different homestays in the Marovo lagoon, go back to Seghe and fly or boat back to Honiara (preferably boat again, but depends on the days it goes). The only thing I'm really struggling with is connecting the dot between Munda and Seghe. For now it seems I will arrive in Munda on a Friday, would like to stay 2-3 days and then go to Seghe.

Any ideas? :)

Thanks!!

Really, no one been there and done this connection?

The only way I can find right now is including Tetepare in the itinerary so doing Munda - Tetepare - Seghe. However not sure I want to do this. As amazing as Tetepare looks, it's very pricey especially the boat transfers.
